Best DFW area GA Airport for a few day stay?

I'm going to be flying my Cherokee Six to the DFW area and staying for a few days. I'm not familiar with the area and I'd like to get some ideas as to what DFW area airport would be best for staying at, probably will tie it down for 3-4 days. Important things - not in any particular order - are cheap (or at least, reasonable) 100LL prices (I don't want to be paying $6+ per gallon); not too expensive overnight parking fees; availability of a rental car (a must); and not more than 30-45 minutes away from Fort Worth. What say you guys on this topic?
 
KFWS for sure. Smaller towered airport outside all of the busy stuff and a 15-minute drive to downtown Fort Worth.

Free tie downs and usually the cheapest gas in the metroplex.

It's also a straight shot from ft. Worth on I-35W
 
FTW is closest to downtown Forth Worth. I haven't been stopping in though, just taking trainees through there, but it seems decent. Looking at airnav, 100LL is 6.29 though. No bueno
 
KAFW wins my vote.

Nice runways, killer FBO, and control tower has some of the nicest controllers I've ever worked with.
 
KAFW is the best in the area for sure but also the most expensive.
KFTW is the closest to downtown. Good FBO. 100LL is reasonable but not the lowest.
KDTO is WAYYY too far from town to even be considered IMO.
KFWS is the best option for cheap and close.
 
Thanks for everyone's input. Based on location, I have narrowed it down to either FTW (though it has the highest 100LL prices), FWS or GKY. If anyone has any additional info - the good, the bad, or the ugly on any of these three - I'd appreciate any last minute advice/info.
 
I flew into FWS a few weeks ago and I was happy with the service. Self Serve avgas was a bit of a taxi to the end of the field, but not a big deal. Staff was nice. I think I almost skated out of there without paying an overnight fee, but my honesty got the best of me (they do waive a night for gas purchase though, then $10/night, at Harrison).
 
Stayed at FWS a few weeks back, $10/night tie down.

FTW is in the ghetto, but if you go I'd go to Texas Jet, and go by Joe T Garcias (bring cash)
