Be careful on the ramp

I have had a couple of close calls doing walkarounds the last couple of weeks flying night trips with a belt loader, a fuel truck, a service door popping open. Today I almost got killed tonight in Philly by a bag cart tug driver who was smoking and joking with his buddies and gunned it not looking ahead inside the safety triangle.:( If I hadn't been looking out, and jumped out of the way he would have hit me very hard...

I thought I was being safe, and not complacent, but really this string of close calls have been a wake up call. It only takes once. Not sure this is a great topic for JC, but things happen for a reason-felt compelled to bring it up. Everybody please keep your heads on a swivel.

Amen to that. I had too many close calls with FedEx and 8000lb cans where people weren't watching and pushing them where they shouldn't be. I was almost crushed a few times and luckily we only had 1 crushed hand while I was there.

That was with a great bunch of people that were usually on their best. But with 4 tons on wheels, mistakes don't take much to occur.

Watch your back, you're the only one that can.

Jeese, with that comedy of errors, I half expected you to say you dodged a lav door opening up on you too.... lol
