Just having the mins (or more) doesn't guarantee you anything. We talk about getting the mins and the magic will happen all the time, and sometimes that happens and sometimes it doesn't. Going into an interview (or even sending out a resume assuming you'll get the interview) thinking you'll get the job just because you meet an arbitrary number is bad ju ju. There are a bunch of us on the flip side of things, looking to get OUT of our regional job and move on who are wondering why exactly everybody was telling us to get that 1000 TPIC.
