When I was home last summer my Grandma was showing pictures from when she was in Barrow Alaska in the 1940s. One of the pictures happened to show what I think was a Wien Air Noorduyn Norseman, and on the side it mentioned that the oil capacity was around 20 gallons.:eek::bandit:

I would love to have been around in those days to witness some awesome airplanes, and some awesome flying.
 
The Norseman reminded me of this book:

I loved it because it is all local to me but their stories are still amazing.
