If you have an existing 530 install, it’s hard to beat the value of an avidyne. They’ll even buy back your 530/530W. One thing to note, if you currently have a 530/430 stack the avidyne will not crossfill your flight plan to the Garmin. So you’d want to do both, and that might make the 750 more attractive. I don’t know if you know this (and the radar in the Moo is probably too old anyway) but both of those boxes will display and control some weather radars, which lets you get rid of another clunky box on the panel.
Have you checked that the 750 will fit above that IDU? IIRC it’s taller than the IFD540.Nope, no other Garmin products besides the GMX-200 which controls the radar (which is so bad I don't even use it any more). This is what I'm working with:

Radio's, autopilot, and an old KLN-89 are located in a center pedestal which SUCKS.
I could also change nothing and just replace the -89 with a panel mount ADS-B transponder, but getting rid of some of that center pedestal by replacing the -200 with a head unit that has a nav-com would be sooo nice, hence the Avidyne vs Garmin decision.
I have not and you're probably right, it won't fit which is why I was thinking 650/345 stack. I screwed up my original post with the 750, that's not on the table right now.Have you checked that the 750 will fit above that IDU? IIRC it’s taller than the IFD540.
I would say if possible spend some time demoing both, preferably in someone’s airplane, and see which interface you prefer.I have not and you're probably right, it won't fit which is why I was thinking 650/345 stack. I screwed up my original post with the 750, that's not on the table right now.
Big bottom line. Also, both the GTN and Avidyne have free PC and iOS apps. Use them, setting up real scenarios. The "logic" and flow of the two systems are very different in some respects.I would say if possible spend some time demoing both, preferably in someone’s airplane, and see which interface you prefer.
