explain......
Hasn't been updated yet. Hopefully it stays that way.Hmmm. Odd considering Alaska's own personal weather site http://aawu.arh.noaa.gov/ is actually pretty decent
I agree. I turned to weather underground and a couple different radar apps. NOAAs always seemed to over shade intensity by around two levels. Looked like mod-sever red on there and go flying and see light drizzle or rain no turb. This seems very 2002ish. I could build this website.
Would be nice to see the government spend some money on a good website and app for aviation weather.
In the end I haven't really used it much since I found out their scaling on their radar is way off. Nothing like flying directly through an area of yellow and red (per aviationweather.gov) with no storms in sight. Took a look at intellicast (WSI) and found that they only showed dark green returns.
Intellicast radar is way better.

The http://aawu.arh.noaa.gov site is a lot better, and dedicated to Alaska. You should take a look at it.Hmm, I'll give it a chance. It's got some nice bits, but I can't find a lot of the stuff I normally use, and I've stumbled on some bugs.
I love that site. They have done a few changes over years, but they always seem to be for the better.Hmmm. Odd considering Alaska's own personal weather site http://aawu.arh.noaa.gov/ is actually pretty decent
