Reminiscent of Pink Floyd's "Learning To Fly" with the prop noise and radio chatter during the bridge of the song...
 
Carbon Leaf's new release has quite a few songs referencing aviation. So many in fact that I wonder if the band is collectively taking flying lessons. Hell, the intro track is called "Learn to Fly" and the last is titled "International Airport".

That is the classic. I was just pleasantly surprised to hear the prop in the beginning right before I sat for my commercial oral and checkride.

Mark Knoffler (Formerly of Dire Straits) has a couple of good one's out there. I think one of his CDs even has part of a sectional inside of it.

One of those bizarre things that, in the AF community, we do just for the sake of tradition.

Jack and Coke is more the speed of most guys in my squadron...the Weed is busted out for roll calls and naming ceremonies.

Isn't that the sound of a film reel? Its a good song either way, except for the creepy kids singing at the end.

Im go into an argument about whether it was a love song or a break up song with someone the other day.
 
Trip and Snooze have freakin' inspired me. I went and picked up a guitar at the pawn shop today; I'm just gonna dick around and make funny songs and make an ass of myself.
