Has anyone got experience with these guys? Looks like a good deal, but I haven't heard anything about them. They said it's about a 10k buy-in for 1/8th share of a 172 and 200/month management fee including: insurance, hangar, and MX reserve. You get 75 hours with the 1/8th share.

Anything to watch for with partnerships in general? Thank you

That seems really high to me. If you're not adverse to old airplanes... I'd buy a 172 before I spent 10k on a 1/8th and was limited to 75 hours a year.

So you're paying $32 an hour for the airframe, hangar, reserves and insurance if you max out your hours. Put your own fuel in and it's -$90 an hour. Of course the per hour price goes up if you don't fly the full 75, and you're left looking for another plane if you fly more as they require you to buy a second share for more hours. Great if you plan on flying 150, sucks if you need 100.

Rates are about flying club rate, but a much higher buyin.

We are currently $750 buy in, $500 back when you choose to leave. Dues are $39 a month and the 172 is $85 wet, 177 and M20P at $95.

Sill not too bad if you consistently fly at or just below 75 a year, though the business model works for them if you don't.

$2,400/year is awfully steep for a share of a Rotax powered LSA, that is probably quite difficult to sell. Cheaper to rent just about anything with twice the useful load around here. Other than the picture of the 172 on the website, where do you see that being offered? There is no way to buy a new 172 for $80k.

The MX reserve should be close to nothing on a Rotax - those things are about $15k new.
