How much did you study before you went to do the 1 day course?
Also what did you use to study with? Gleim book/cd?
I am thinking about doing mine in a month or two.
Good job!
Actually Tim, I didn't study anything before arriving. Which is what ATP recommends. A lot of the stuff believe it or not, is stuff you probably already know, even as a CFI. I went through the questions and answers, read some of the explanations but didn't really try to figure out why the answer was correct, just that it was the correct answer.
I went through the prep 3 times. The first pass through took the longest. I read the question, saw the correct answer with an explanation. The second time through I didn't even look at the question, just memorized the answers. The third time, I read the question and tested how well I remembered the answer.
Seems like its pointless, but I really did learn a whole lot. I learned much more about RVR's and the components that can affect the RVR mins. I learned some good weather stuff as well as valuable 121 things, like the procedure for transporting an unloaded weapon in baggage to PIC and SIC responsibilities.
It was a good course and the best part is, not only did I learn but I also passed the test.

I think it was a good prep for my interview, but I won't know for sure until after the interview!
