When I was studying for my ADX, I used the Gleim written and the Groundschool Software at Dauntless Software. I've used it for my Commercial, FOI, FIA and FII test...works great!!!!
Get the ASA book, take it to the closest Starbuck's, get the biggest latte available, find the most comfortable chair, and study hard until you look like this:
Repeat as often as possible in the weeks leading up to your test.
This revolutionary method has worked for me twice (I took this horrible test over 2 years ago, but it expired so I took it again last month).
When I studied I used the ASA prep book and the ASA prepware CD. I don't think anyone can stress enough how excellent those practice tests on CD are and they've been invaluable to my students and to me on my ATP written. My advice to anyone that just finished up their CFI training...
START STUDYING NOW!! I studied for 6 weeks for that test and still did worse than I wanted to...
Plus my boss was going to pay for it if I got 100...which I didn't...dangit!
