ATP Trenton CFI Position Avail.

hey nocturnal -- you interviewed me last week. james gave me the okay, so it looks like i'm good to go. just have to take the big jump . . .

so what's up with ttn? who's going to be there after you go?

congrats again on the new job.

Insidious, yes sir! It will be Mr. Steve. He's telling me he's interested in a King Air gig SIC'n we'll have to see, he's a great CFI. We both still don't know who will take my position, I guess Jim will just have to force someone over there. I'm going to miss the place a little bit, but i'll stop in if i'm ever in the area. Asta, GREAT JOB!!! Glad to hear that you are all taken care of! Well just make that jump and enjoy your stay at ATP TTN! And thank you for the congrats!!! All I can say is this wx sucks. I have a private multi student with just 2.4hrs to burn and then checkride, my last day is tomorrow and well.... I guess that will just have to be it. Steve will finish him up, damn I was so close!

how quickly do people move through there?
cuz i live in jersey, but am attending RIC from january to june, and was hoping to instruct in trenton once i'm done. i guess i'll have to wait and see what's available come summer.

noc, how many hours did you build per month in trenton?
i ultimately want to go the cargo route, maybe airnet or something similar, so i don't know how much CFI time would be necessary. according to some folk at ATP, it would be easier to start flying for a cargo company, rather than a regional airline where you need much more sim time, plus cargo seems to be much more my cup of tea.

i'm pretty sure steve said it was a lot slower in trenton than anywhere else, more laid back, which i would prefer. just wondering if you enjoyed your time there, how often you worked, and if there was any difference in pay. thanks thanks :)

I'm not going to give you advice, whatever I say I get knocked unconcious from stones being thrown. I will say that I've received only 60 dual, and I flew the sim, and proctored writtens outta boredom more than I instructed. Go somewhere else instead, they might even be closing down TTN because it's slow, don't quote me on that though.

i wonder why its so slow. it's the only atp base in the most crowded section of the country: the northeast

If I had to guess, because it is the North East!

Because of weather, you mean? Congestion? The weather's not that bad, and I've never felt really crowded here, even when flying through NY's bravo, though maybe you just get used to dodging 757s . . .

Mostly because students are looking for the 90 day. But I think its stupid because even though TTN is a 10 month, self pace yourself and make it into a 90 day. At least you get the comfort of creating your own schedule. That's what I did worked out perfect!
