Well I have secured a start date on Sept 3rd for my Private and Nov 12th for career program.
I'm looking to talk to past, present and future Jacksonville students. I toured about a month ago and I'm very excited about starting the program.
Anybody have an words of wisdom or encite on what to expect.

Thanks for your time!

Not to tell ya what to do but search the ATP forums and you will find a lot! Just look through those and ask more specifics if you want.....

i dont think it really matters what location your gonna be at. its the same program at all 20 something locations...

Yeah I visit the ATP website often. Just looking to broading the search.
Wondering how past and present students felt about Jacksonville location and the people who train there. Also curious about the Jacksonville area..fun, safe place to be?

Michael- From what research I did and also the tour I took. I felt it was very busy and intense location. I've read that Jax is demanding and the heart of ATP. I want to put myself right in the action and I feel Jax is the best place for me. Seattle and Arlington were my other choices mainly because of relatives in the area for support. But wanted to be close to the big bosses in Florida. How about you..why are you leaning towards alington? Where are you at in your training? Where would you like to end up as a pilot? Be blessed and keep in touch.

jacksonville is one of the busiest locations with all the management and all, but its the same training your gonna get at any location. The only thing i would suggest for choosing a location is where you would like to live. btw, arlington has all 2000-2005 aircraft which aint bad...

Chaps- my hubby did the PPL and ACPP programs at Jax last year and then instructed. We still live in Jax and he visits there occasionally and knows a lot of instructors and a few students there still. If you are interested, PM me and I'll give you his email.

I love jax, the city. I didnt think i would, but its cheap, people are nice, its clean, and jax beach is a great place to party at. The apartments when i first started were brand new, so it was nice and clean. I have heard thats changed. Jax has the most students, so there are always people at the apartments. You'll run into them at the pool and stuff. We even had a couple keggers while we were there, believe it or not. great times.

The training location is good too. Just be on the DEs good side. Otherwise you wont last long. His intentions are good. if the CP is the same, he is a good guy. Probably one of the most entertaining guys you'll ever meet. ANd between the two, they might be the best pilots you ever meet. very knowledgeable.

good luck, enjoy jax. I did
