I was wondering if anyone knew of any kind of waver that exist for taking the ATP checkride if you happen to be shy of the required TT by about 20 hours or less?
I am coming up to my recurrent school in the Citation and wondering if the FAA authorizes a type of "frozen" ATP, in that I would do the test while at school whereas the rating would be inactive until I killed the last 20 or something hours of the TT.
I that I had heard they used to issue something called Letters of Competency where there is a situation like above, then when the times are met it is just a quick visit to the FSDO for the stamp of approval.
Thanks!
