Anyone know (or currently staying) in a decent crashpad or can recommend one in ATL? Looking for something that doesn't require a car.

Check the classifides on Ourasa. There are usually ads out for crashpads near ATL. Most (that don't require a car) are in less than stellar areas, to say the least.
