Amentum Baghdad, Baghdad:<BR /><p>The ACCOM ATC Specialist, Terminal Watch Supervisor is responsible for the overall daily safe and expeditious flow of air traffic within the facility-controlled airspace in accordance with ICAO and FAA 7110.65 regulatory compliance. Rules of separation must be applied to achieve the required separation as outline in FAA manuals and orders.</p><p></p><p>Principal Accountabilities</p><p>(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)</p><p> Designee maintains situational awareness of the overall flow of air traffic operations at the facility assigned and is responsible for all ATC facility operations and services during their shift.</p><p> Responsible for the safe, orderly flow of air traffic within their designated airspace.</p><p> Designee coordinates with various controllers and personnel to relay information which pertains to the aircraft and in the interest of safety of flight including emergency information.</p><p> Designee is responsible for vehicles and personnel operating on the airfield.</p><p> Designee will control aircraft and will process flight plans, develop and supervise approach and departure procedures.</p><p> Perform other duties as assigned.</p><p></p><p>Knowledge & Skills</p><p> Designee will be familiar with radar or control tower operations and apply the required separation of aircraft.</p><p> Knowledge of processing flight plans, developing and supervising approach and departure procedures.</p><p> Must have full working knowledge of RADAR/Manual approach control operations, control tower and flight planning.</p><p> Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.</p><p> Knowledge of ATC rules, regulations, and techniques; control tower and approach control operations.</p><p> Effective oral and written communication skills</p><p> Proficient in Microsoft Office software</p><p></p><p></p><p>Experience & Education</p><p> High school diploma or equivalent</p><p> Graduate of an approved DoD or FAA Air Traffic Control (ATC) course.</p><p> Five (5) years of relevant experience.</p><p> One (1) year of experience must be from performing in a like type of facility.</p><p> FAA Control Tower Operator (CTO) certificate or FAA Credential with Tower rating is required.</p><p></p><p>Physical Requirements/Working Environment</p><p> Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable</p><p> Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions</p><p> Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions</p><p> </p><p>Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
