At home sims

Good morning. I could use the advice of an experienced individual in the home sim arena. I have seen some very elaborate and expensive builds on FB. My goal is to create one for currency and proficiency training. I am thinking about a mid-range gaming laptop instead of a console. I'm not too picky on what yoke/rudder/throttle quadrant I use. I read MSFS 2024 has all sorts of issues right now, so MSFS 2020 is probably more what I need. I love good graphics as much as the next guy, but I am attempting to go bang for buck here. Thanks.

I think there was a pretty good thread about this not too long ago, where I called everyone in it a giant dork. But it seemed legit if that's your thing :) Sorry I don't have a link, but I bet someone does

Sorry. I'm not a desktop sim guy. I've never seen one except in pics. Seen some pretty cool looking setups online. I can only add that on other forums people are really bagging on MSFS 2024. I'm more into AATD's and BATD's that a CFII can use for IFR training.
