Just one question as I still don't know exaclty how the american scholastic system works.
After gained an associate degree of two years, will the candidate be allowed to study for other two years to get a Bachelor's Degree?
In our case everything is related to aviation.
If yes, after gained the associate degree, can the candidate work as flight instructor (part-time or full time) while studying at college/university (part time or full time) for the last two years?

Many thanks in advance!

Don't know if this will help - but I worked full time, went to school full time towards an Associate's, received it, and then worked full time (flying) for about a year and a half to finish a Bachelor's.

Yeah that is how it works most of the time. It took me 3 years to do my associates and 2 years of school after to finish bachelors (graduating in May). I am doing business management, but when I started getting my associates in aviation I still had to take prerequisites like English, Science, Humanities, and Mathematics. I know a lot of people that have instructed while completing college so it is common.

Why? You are not mother-tongue or what?
Yep, that's the way I'd like, after got the Associate Degree work part time or full time as CFI while studying for the Bachelor's Degree.
If the applicant is a holder of PPL what difference will he have from the normal courses? Will he fly instaed of getting the PPL because he already got it? Or what?

How much would a associate degree cost for a non-resident or international student?

Don't waste your time with an associates degree. If you start with that and later decide to a bachelor's, you will most likely spending more money and time than you need. Start with a bachelor's and it will save you time and money.

So a 4-years degree is cheaper than a 2-years degree + the second 2-years of a Bachelor's Degree?
My original plan is the following one:

  1. Complete a Associate's Degree + CFI-MEI-CFII;
  2. Studying for the second two years and working flight instructor.
Well, at the beginning I will have the problem of the Visa; I'm not american, I've got a cousine in Kentucky, but unfortunately relatives can't sponsor or help immigrants to stay in the USA. Anyway, hope is the last to die, I hope to find an employer who can sponsor a young CFI.
I will come back in Europe with my ratings to be converted + a Associate's/Bachelor's Degree that is well seen and recognised here, too - or I think so...
