University of Alaska Anchorage, Alaska:<BR /><p>The University of Alaska (UAA) Aviation Technology Division invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant or associate level for Air Traffic Control. As a tenure-track faculty in the Aviation Technology Division you will have an opportunity to teach an array of courses within your discipline as well courses in the Aviation Management Bachelor of Science degree program. This position is responsible for teaching and service in addressing aviation issues in the State of Alaska in training the next generation of controllers and aviation professionals. You will work independently and collaboratively with colleagues to prepare graduates to enter the workforce within an exacting curriculum adhering to FAA CTC standards.</p> <p>The University of Alaska Anchorage places a strong emphasis on teaching. The division&rsquo;s maintenance training center and all of the aviation classes are located on Merrill Field, one of the busiest General Aviation airports in the nation, boosting 144,892 flight operations.</p> <p>As an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Air Traffic Control Department, you will teach undergraduate courses in a fully equipped air traffic control program including aviation management and be expected to contribute to the development and expansion of the aviation programs.</p> <p>To thrive in this role, candidates must have experience working with diverse students, supporting student retention, and assisting students in achieving academic and professional success.</p> <p>Additionally, it is essential that faculty have the necessary aviation experience and credentials required for the position. Individuals who are self-motivated, safety conscious, student-centered, and believe in excellence through collaboration, adaptability, and creativity will flourish within UAA’s Aviation Technology Division.</p>
