ASA Tech Writer

Hi Guys,

We are looking for a flight operations tech writer at Atlantic Southeast. Responsibilities include writing/editing publications such as the Flight Operations Manual, Aircraft Operating Manuals, etc. It is a good foot in the door for when we start hiring pilots, or a good job for someone who doesn't want to be an airline pilot, but who does like to be around aviation.

Send me a private message for details, but the application process is online.

Go to the careers page, and find the tech writer position.

Thanks,

Grayson

I thought this job was already filled because I had applied for it not too long ago and was told before interviewing that they already have 3 guys with previous experience to fill the position.

There are two positions open. One of the current tech writers accepted a management job internally, and the other is a furloughed pilot, and has been recalled.

If you are interested, apply.

I know it's not a flying job. I'm looking out for a friend and I was sure they were saying low 20s for the pay.

ASA does like to hire within, even to the pilot group. But It would suck to be paid first year pay after receiving a crappy salary for a desk job too.

Okay, I'll be more definitive. The pay is definitely in the low $30s.

If your friend goes to the interview, be sure to tell him to not mention the words "crappy salary."

Hooray! Perhaps my writing for the college newspaper for the past four years will come in handy! Goodness knows my aviation degree won't for a while!

Thanks for clarifying. He knows its for a regional so "crappy salary" should be implied. :D

I actually think he is going to hold off on this one for other reasons. Although I think he'd be a great benefit to our company.
