Anyone familiar with this place? I am thinking about going down there next spring to do my MEI and probably enroll in their 50hr multi-time building program. Anyways, if anyone did training there or is familiar with AriBen please share your experiences.

Thanks.

I'm a current student right now and I like it here. PM me with any questions you have.

I think the new name is Aviator College of Aeronautical Science & Technology.

I believe they are attempting an image overhaul.
They have moved into some new facilities and
now offer a RJ program. The funny thing is that
they now cost more than ATP unlike in the past
when they were $10,000 to $15,000 less.
Something smells fishy....:whatever:

Nothing smells fishy, they are now a college you can get a AS from Ari-Ben. Being a college, students can get loans that they couldn't get anywhere else. Say what you might about Mike(I have), but the man knows how to make money.

Well, not sure their prices are up that much. ATP realized they were way overpriced and lowered theirs about 10-15000...

Yeah, and despite everything else he'll say to you.....he's ONLY about making money. The fact you come away w/ some certificates...is only eating into his profit margin.

Get in, get out......ASAP!

ATP is partnered with a college and I bet they have the same lenders.

I bet you they don't have the same lenders. I will be in Dallas Nov and Dec I sure

Like I said you have got to tip you hat to Mike. This is not something you can do overnight.

Edit: It looks like you can get Stafford and PLUS loans for the Aviator.

I believe the whole reason for going the college route is not just to make loans easier to aquire but to create a more academic vibe to the school.
They can foresee where the industry is heading and want to be competitive in the future. The zero to hero era is over and if a school is going to be competitive then they will have to change. If the FAA has
it's way with the proposed 1500 hr rule as well as raising the standard of flight training in the U.S. , then quality education will be the name of the game. It will be interesting to see if Ariben would be able to live up to this
new image or will it just be the same old school with a makeover.
Only time will tell!

I just finished the Pro Course (PPL AMEL- MEI/CFI/CFII) a few months ago. No problems, finished at what they quoted me. Instructors were great and I had a wonderful time down there. Any questions, just shoot me a PM.
