Are cintas uniform pants machine washable

The tag says "professional dry clean only", I'm wondering if that's a lie. If they are in fact machine washable what settings for the washer and dryer? I don't want to ruin them too soon, although I'll be replacing them with better alternatives once their time is up.

I've been told they are as long as you don't dry them.

Better yet, go get Merona brand black pants from Target and wash and dry them all you want. The Cintas pants are a huge waste of money.

I used to wash my "dry clean only" uniforms in the washer all the time. I used cold water and a gentle cycle, and hung them to dry (no dryer). They looked exactly the same as when they were dry cleaned, and it cost a WHOLE lot less.

I always used to wash my dry clean only dress pants in the washer, then I let them air dry.

I probably wouldn't do that with something expensive, but no big loss if something happened.

I would wash and dry them. Just use low heat in the dryer. Just don't hot iron them or they get all shiny.

I'll second the washing and drying of these pants. Every couple of months I take em to the dry cleaners to get the creases back and some crispness back (I haven't the foggiest idea how to use starch and/or an iron).

Machine washable, they are very wrinkle-resistant, and match the blazer. They are only $15 more than the Target brand, and in my humble opinion they are a much better quality uniform pant.

In fact, when we get our uniform allowance this month, I will be purchasing another pair or two in case they sell out. I don't know anyone who actually likes the Cintas pants. They are exceptionally overpriced for the terrible product you get. It's embarrassing we use them as a vendor.

Do they not fade after being washed a few times?

If so then they definitely are better than the Target kind. I don't dry them anymore because after a bunch of times in the dryer they'd start to lose the dark black color and then they aren't as dark as the blazer. Now that it's summer it isn't detectable but I still don't dry them.

I've washed them three times, and I have yet to see any distinct fading. A few things though: I do not put them in the dryer. I clip the bottom on the pant legs to a hangar and let them air dry. I also wash the pants in cold water (or warm, never hot), and iron with a low setting. My Cintas pants had the "shine" after a month. These do not.

I did notice in one load that they caught a lot of lint from some new socks I purchased. I just used a lint roller and that problem was solved.

Speaking of those socks... Get Under Armour black crew socks. They are very comfortable (they must be, I just used double HTML code to emphasize), and they whisk away sweat and odor. Even after wearing them for 16 hours one day, they kept my feet from getting "that funky feeling." Seriously... they are very comfortable.

I have done a lot of "trial and error" research to find the most comfortable uniform items that still look very professional. Your mileage may vary.
