Yes, what should we be watching for. Are you stuck somewhere? I jsut got to work through all the snow and junk. My normal 20 min ride to 50 minutes. It has been snowing here in MSP since 10am and there are no signs of it stopping.

I am flying to the MSP area tomorrow with a student. Any idea what airport I should fly into? I am hoping to somehow get a crew car to get something to eat.

If the wx holds up tomorrow, I would say go into KSTP. They have 2 different ILS approaches so you should be able to ride either one down to mins. The final approach sets up nice as with one direction you come right in next to downtown St. Paul and the other brings you right in over the river. It is a more interesting approach than Flying Cloud.

Not sure about the fbo's at STP. If you go into KFCM and park at Elliott Aviation, I believe they have crew cars available. There is a pretty good burger joint very close to the airport. If you go to FCM, you can go to The Lion's Tap, maybe 5 mins away. From Elliott, take a right ouit of the parking lot and go East to the 1st light(Hwy 212) and take a right. Continue down the hill on 212 and Lions Tap will be on the RH side of the road. What time are you planning on flying in?

MSP was actually somewhat nice when I was there Thursday night. I wasn't exactly thrilled about holding, but hey ... I need the practice. Er, ok, the autopilot needed the practice.
Now I'm stuck in Philly for 40 hours. Both flights today were cancelled, now I don't leave until tomorrow P.M. Glad I forget to pack food!!!
And what's up with a state that doesn't sell beer at the grocery store?! You PA types need to fix that ASAP.

I flew into STP tonight and it was a blast. First dual given multi flight that went more than 35 nm away from the departure airport. The flight ended up being 5 hours there and back. And I couldn't ask for a better crew car, which was a nice Jaguar!
