Anyone use the Luggageworks Executive bag?

I am trying to avoid the heavy metal framed bag, I feel like this would be a happy medium. Anyone using this bag? Sorry in advance for another LW thread.
 
I do and I'm a big fan. My first one survived about 5 years before it had kind of a freak accident. One of the wheel bearings seized and as the wheel turned, so did the bolt that goes through the middle. I didn't address it early enough so the nut eventually worked loose from the plastic frame. It's all one big piece and I couldn't get to the nut to replace it, making it basically unrepairable.

I got another one the that has lasted me 2 years with zero problems.

Both bags have been subject to a lot of deadheading (gate checking) on RJs and I think had I replaced the wheel bearings at the first sign of a problem, I'd still have the old one.

I'd gladly get another one when this thing dies.
 
I've had the plastic framed one for many years, its still pretty heavy, but much lighter than the metal framed ones, and it will still take a lot of abuse. In the oft chance you have to drag it into the cabin of a business aircraft, the metal frame is less likely to beat up the cabin. There is plenty of room for clothes for 7 days, including a pair of shoes.
 
I have the plastic framed LW Stealth 22 with all of the external pockets. It's a solid piece of luggage and lighter than the metal framed one. I bought it on MarvGolden.com
 
I know you are looking at plastic but I had the heavy metal one for years and you're right, it was too heavy. Especially if you commute, it's hard on your back to lift it up into the overhead bins. But I just bought the 22" luggageworks stealth air and I absolutely love it. It's WAY lighter. And LW says it's the same weight as the plastic one. You might consider it just because it will hold up better than the plastic.
 
I've had the executive for 3 1/2 years and it's still going strong, the only issue I had is AA bent the handle, a few hammer hits later to straighten it back out and its operation normal. It's still a heavy bag, and since you handle your own bag yourself most of the time it would be a good fit for ya.
 
I was looking at the stealth air too but kinda wrote it off, maybe that's the one I need to consider.

I've had mine right about a year and it doesn't seem to show any wear. Half that time was throwing it up and down a ladder into a DC9, half of it is stuffing it in a CR2 overhead. Worth taking a look at IMO, but I don't seem to recall it being a whole lot less expensive than the real deal bag.

That sounds great, but some of the polymers Magpul use aren't the greatest in the world. Plus you would have all the downsides of a hardside bag then, can't overstuff it.

Nice to see my (our) recommendations paid off.

Why anyone would go with another bag is beyond me.

Same weight as plastic bag but with the strength of the new metal they're using.
 
It is actually almost 2lbs heavier than the Executive.

Edit nevermind, I was looking at the Stealth not the Stealth Air.
