Anyone Know About Kansas State At Salina?

I was looking around and came across a very decent looking program passed out of KSLN. It was the Kansas State School In Salina. Has anyone heard about this program, knows anyone in it, or if its reputable? Any information is appreciated

My flight instructer just graduated from there, and he seemed to think it was a good school. Great airplanes/equipment, and the runway is HUUUGE. I did most of my instrument training in Salina (independently, I'm a student at Kansas State Main campus), and even took my checkride with Bill Gross, the head guy there. I would recommend it over Oklahoma State's program (thats where I started).

If you have any specific questions, PM or email me and I'll be more happy to answer them for you.

jholloway, who was/is your instructor?

JDE...what school do you go to?
and i agree with jholloway...anywhere but OSU.....just because they are our rival.

ahhhh so you were just helping??? Were you on the flight team there? The people on that team are pretty cool...a lot of fun to talk with.

I wasn't at SAFECON this year. I was on the KSU team for a couple of years though before I graduated. Good times.

I've flown with him once and had him in class a few times. Is he still around the area?

Nope, he finally got married, and got a job at some school near Springfield, Missouri as a flight instructor. I haven't talked to him since last October though...Probably should give him a call.

KSU at Salina

I am a current professional pilot student at KSU- Salina. I am having a great time out here even though central Kansas isn't the ideal college town. They offer alot of benefits for thier flight students that other programs don't offer As far as the school goes, the faculty is top notch, the aircraft are well taken care of and new, and the instructors are great. If anyone has any questions feel free to shoot me an email dkozak@ksu.edu

KSU at Salina

KSU-S offers CJ and King AIr time to thier students who qualify as well as working the new F.I.T.S. program into thier curriculum. They also (starting Fall of 2005) will start offering instrument training/proficency in the G1000.
