Anyone here do agricultural application? (crop dusting)

I see a lot of crop dusters around here. I was wondering is anyone has done any of that kind of work. I don't think I've ever seen an job ad for crop dusting...

I know only a commercial certificate is required, but do most places hire you with just that, or is it the kind of job that wants 1000+TT?
 
Most of the duster places I've seen hiring require 2000TT with 500 hours aerial application time...at least.

The guy next door has been doing it for 30 years and 17,000 hours and talking with him unless you've been in it for a while and already have your plane paid off its not worth getting into.
