Anyone from PUBNAT 1 still around?

I started traditional route, got through the interview, and am headed to the ATL PEPC next week to finish the process.

Any word if the PN1'ers have "seniority" to get a class date over PN2/3/4/...?

Any expected timeframe for class dates?

With Terminal Basics classes getting juiced, ... Well, you see where I'm going.

Anyone else been in this from the start still fighting and/or have any info?

It's been so long, but if I remember correctly I applied for the PUBNAT 1. (Feb 2008?) Went traditional route and got things done in a timely manner, until my EKG was done incorrectly and I had to redo it which set me back. Which is fine because I got to finish my degree. As of now I am in the October 2009 class for Enroute. However, it's taken so long that I have to redo my drug test.

It's been a Marathon.

Even though you probably should I highly doubt you would have class date seniority, unless you pointed it out and were lucky enough to have someone listen. When they set class dates and schedules I don't think they would research an original application date, they set them based on who is ready to get an FOL, and where that person can be fit into OKC based on class availibility, and the staffing state of where your going.

That's not entirely correct. There is one Tracon Basics class on October 6th.

I was told by my HR rep that class dates are issued on facility need with seniority based on TOL dates.

Good lord, you didn't finish all of the traditional route stuff in over a year? I'd been all over whomever had been holding things up to get the ball rolling again. That's just absolute incompetence on someone's part for you to have gotten stalled out like that.

Wow I'm sorry to hear your still trying to get in, I did the PEPC route and have been out of Oklahoma for 3 months working at my facility. Good to hear from you though, seems like most of the pubnat1's have disappeared

I'm an original PUBNAT and have applied to subsequent announcements but have never received an interview. I blame my barely passed qualified grade on the ATSAT.

I'll keep trying nonetheless dammit.

If you didn't already know, you can retake the At-Sat if it has been over a year. Go bang it out, improve your score and get hired...

PUBNAT1 here...TOL in June, PEPC Memphis in July, OKC Sept. 25, 08, SLC TRACON Dec 15, 08. Hope things pick up for everyone that's still waiting. New contract has lots of good things to help with new-hires, etc. Good luck!

God, Haven been on here in awhile. Started as a Pubnat2 and I just got a class date of the 17th of Aug. Talk about dropping everything a moments notice
