I'm doing it now on Delta, really cool. Just crossed from Alabama into Mississippi on the way to Houston at FL340. Does anyone else offer it?

2 things:

1) I did not knew that the internet reached Alabama or Mississippi
2) [hijack]I heard Kalitta is recalling. Truth or BS?/hijack

SAS used to offer it a couple of years ago. It worked pretty well on a SEA-CPH flight over the North Atlantic. It was funny, since they were flying Airbus-es but the internet service was provided by Boeing Connexion. :)

Not only do we have the internet, but we know verb tenses too! :D

Well, it does reach Mississippi, I can attest for that, Alabama, not sure of :D

Hey!!! Mississippi isn't supposed to pick on Alabama! It's supposed to get picked on by Alabama! And yes we've got internet! :rawk:

WTH my phone barely gets signal at 2000 feet. How are you picking up wifi at 39,000? Using the plane skin as an antenna?

:D

DL is installing wifi interwebz on alot of their planes... 88s, 737s, and 757s are being equipped. When you're walking on board the logo is by the door. "GoGo Wireless" is the name.

The antennaes on the plane are interesting looking.. the usual fin with this roundish plate on the bottom. One on the forward section of the lower fuselage and one on the aft.

Used this on a DAL 75 from PHX to ATL about a month ago. The speed was the same as any wifi connection that I have used, pretty darn fast. Wifi I am okay with but if they ever allow cell phones they better not sit next to me. Somebody might get hurt........

100% agreed. I can't stand people who talk loudly on a cell phone in the coffee shop. If I were trapped in front of a tall prima donna who refuses to let me put my seat back, behind a knee smasher, and next to a cell phone jockey, I can guarantee there'd be some carnage at FL370.
