Anyone commuting out of Denver?

I guess I better do a background check on myself to make sure nothing is there that I don't know about.

I've called and emailed that contact. We'll see if they can shed some light on it. I hate to say it, but I will be given any more information.

You thought about applying to commutair? There is a member on here who got hired there with a DUI on his record so maybe whatever it is wont be a issue there

I really need to find out what the issue is. I also need to make the next step into turbine powered equipment... :-(

I have no idea but I really need to make sure there isn't something there that is going to keep biting me in the butt. They had me setup for a June 4th class and then BAMMM.

Why would they care what your credit is? You're not trying to *buy* the airplane - you're trying to fly it for them (!?) - seriously why would that matter one iota?

lots of places won't hire people who have bad credit. They are at higher risk to break the rules if they think they can profit from it.

I wonder if they cancelled the entire class. Thats how they handled it at Mesa when they put the breaks on everything (although they were classy enough to furlough and not terminate the guys already in class, which surprised me.) Maybe GJ found something terrible out from United. You're probably better off not flying for GJ anyway, despite their reformed image. Do you have 1200TT and can you fly an NDB approach? Ameriflight is hiring, I believe, and they offer fairly rapid transition to turbine PIC equipment.

Same reason car insurance companies use your credit rating as an underwriting factor, because statistically people with poorer credit are more likely to have an auto accident -- and statistically people with poorer credit are more likely to exhibit poor or impulsive decision making.

I say that, but my credit is just now returning to normal after taking a beating from some medical bills.

I have to stay with what I am doing or find a commutable job. I spoke with Ameriflight and made it through the HR portion. Was scheduled to do the sim and technical side when I called it off. At best I would have made it back to Denver one night a week and the wifey wasn't to happy about that. She's supportive but not that supportive lol. She's in her first year of Doc school. Gotta keep Doc Allen happy :-)

Sorry to hear that brian, that really sucks to be told that. If you're going to do your own background check consider getting a copy of your faa file from the faa. It has every piece of paper you have ever filled out with the FAA.
