Kind of looking at a job where part of my time is teaching people how to "AeroTrekk" Basically I guess it means flying real low in Light Sport Aircraft through canyons, passes, etc for 100+ miles. The Jobs in Tucson AZ...whaddya know about that place?

On the one hand, it sounds like a lot of fun. On the other hand, sounds like there's not a lot of room for error.

Can't speak for the organization, but I can about Tucson.

My wife attended the UofA and has many family members down there. I loved being there. Too many good restaurants to count or list, incredible golf (depends on where you go of course), AMARC for nerds, Desert Museum, BioSphere, Karch Caverns, excellent mountain biking and the list goes on. Plus you're close to Mexico if you want to go. Rocky Point, when it isn't spring break (or when it is), is a fun time.

Its a pretty artsy town, and has an um, "hippy" vibe, but the fact that Raytheon, Honeywell, and a few other high-tech companies, and the U of A means that you can get a good mix of people.

Oh, and its 350 days of clear flying weather, sounds good to me. Unless you want actual, but since its LSA stuff, don't think that matters much.

I can find out more if you like, or just PM me or something. The gentleman ;) who owns this site lives close enough, I'm sure he could let you know more also.

Bear Down!

Sounds sketchy...and fun.

I [sort of] live in Tucson (I'm there 2-3 days a week and commute to Miami). My impression of it is similar to the above poster's--there's a lot to do in and around it, good food, good nightlife. It definately has a little bit of a hippie feel to it, but overall there's a really good, interesting mix of people there. The mountains around Tucson are spectacular, too.

It's also real hot right now.
