Any manassas instructors on here. Had a few questions, guess I could just call...But thought might give this a shot as well...

I used to be in manassas, but now im in dallas, if you have questions though i can probably answer them.

Hey Thanks..
I was curious about the schedule for both programs in Manassas.. I am debating between the two..Basically,
I was wondering if you could tell me how the 10 month program works there... Ie.. Is it possible for me to say go 2 full days a week, then 2-3 4 hr days during the week for the 10 month program? Any info is greatly appreciated.. THanks..

I'm not an instructor, but am about to be a student and just talked to them about the 10-month program so I can tell you what I know.

Your scenario is exactly what the 10-month program is, you go 2 days for eight hours each and then a couple of evenings for 2-4 hours. If you can maintain that grueling schedule on top of a full time job for 10 months, you'll finish it in 10 months.

Personally, I've decided to just quit my job and knock it out in 90 days. I'm gonna be makin' dirt as a flight instructor, might as well get used to it now as opposed to 10 or 12 months from now!

Thank for the info... Im still on the fence about which program thought. I am a police officer and wouldnt mind staying working on 4-12 and going each morning if I could, then 8 hours on days off, but on the other hand I may as well get used to the low pay.. Decisions, decisions...Congrats on the program though:)

I'm living proof that if you devote 2 half-day sessions a week during the training portion you'll finish well within the 10 month timeframe. However, you will need an entire day for each checkride you take and cross country trip you go on during the XC phase. Plus you need 8 consecutive days for the initial CFI portion.

Keep in mind that, at home, you should be putting in as many hours studying for tests and checkrides as you will log with the program.
