Here is the scenario...............................
A childhood friend of mine, who has been flying for the last 7 years has what may or may not pan out to be an opportunity to fly privately for a very wealthy person.
My buddy has been an instructor for the last few years and has had the opportunity to teach pilot/owners in thier own aircraft. He has been able to log some K.A. 90 and 200 time but has not stepped foot into a jet. With things slowing down, he took another job, part-time, outside of aviation.
It turns out the owner of the company that he works at part-time, is very well to do as is the owners in-laws. One day, they began to talk about aviation and it turns out this business owner owns multiple businesses, as do the in-laws. The person that my buddy works for has a GV and a Soverign card with Marquis Jets and the in-laws own four aircraft, two of which are a Citation X and a Falcon 2000!
Not knowing what his exact times are, what do you all think the chances are of him possibly slipping into the right seat of one of these aircraft, having never flown a turbo fan aircraft before? Also, when things do turn around, do you think having a recomendation from a Marquis Jets customer pulls any weight when it comes to trying to earn a job with the company?
What do you all think?
