Another Unique Airport

Not a strange airport, but a strange approach....Martin State Airport in Baltimore....

Theres a VOR/DME approach with a DME arc as the final approach course.

Talk about weird....

Clearview is great. I'll try and get some more accurate pictures of the airport if I get back there. I remember, upon landing last spring, we had to make sure to avoid the kids playing outside the yard of a house that's right next to the runway. No joke.

I don't think they sell the "I've landed at Clearview" mugs/shirts anymore /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

LOL, that's Clearview for you.

It's a trickly little airport and it makes you think. If there's a light wind coming in from the west to the north, you're like, okay, do I land with a slight tailwind, with an upslope and 300 feet more of runway? Or do I land with a slight headwind, a downslope and less than 1600 feet of runway?

It is truly a chop and drop airport. Float there and you're so screwed.

The GPWS warning must be part of the approach procedures:
