Another Day of Flight Instructing!!!

Llyod,

Great story. It sound like the woman had a great time. It has got to be satisfying knowing that you played a part in it.

there's no competition! go ahead.. show yours off! haha /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh, but there SHOULD be a competition! In fact, here it is: submit your photos of JC paraphenalia in action!

Now we need JC stickers ("zaps", in military lingo) to start plastering airports/airplanes/bars/stripclubs with! (I can already see the contest winner: Lain's "ladyfriends" sporting JC stickers as pasties! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

New addition to the "Addicted to JC" thread:

You're life's ambition is to be the dude wearing the most JetCareers flair! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/spin2.gif

Whew! I won't be doing that one. I don't do flair.

One other thing Lloyd didn't mention here . . . the flight was booked via phone and the caller ID read WAYLON JENNINGS (for the underpriveledged: that's country music). So the whole time I am trying to book the flight Lloyd's singing Waylon songs--at the TOP of his lungs!

Nice story Lloyd. We do get some fun ones at the flight school here in Nashville. And he's been wearing that lanyard every blessed day since he returned from Vegas.

heh, i'm wearing the lanyard at work (gotta keep our id out and visible at all times) and that is a great lanyard!

I suppose i shouldn't mention that i keep the JC pen in my lab coat pocket...

Lloyd,
Nice post. It's cool to hear people talking about other things than money and bad schedules for CFI's. Hopefully I can have an experience like that one day soon! That'd make all the hell I am going through to get my CFI well worth it!

Excellent Post Lloyd.

A great take on what its all about, your maturity will benefit you in this "game". I especially liked the shut up line ... very appropriate and thanks for saying it. Enjoy it, it is a great foundational opportunity.

Awesome story Lloyd . . .

A guy I work with, Dorsey, took an older gentleman who used to fly Corsairs back in WWII and is developing alzheimers up for a flight today during his lunch break today.

To imagine what it was like flying back then!

Hey Lloyd, I have some reserve days coming up and probably won't get used. Where are you buying me lunch?

Come on over, man! There's always an empty seat at the Taco bell!!!

Drop me a PM with the details of where you are. If I can borrow someone's wheels from the crashpad, I'll cruise over and bring a bip heap of lies to tell.

Well speaking for myself I'm very much looking forward to flight instructing. I hope to be able to get my CFI by this coming summer, but it's still a long way off considering the fact that I have like 12.1 hours right now.

And what the heck is MAPD?

I'm not lying when I say "You're my hero", bro!!

FANTASTIC STORY!!! WTG!!

Me? I had a student let go of the controls 50' above the runway yesterday after she got blown off center by a hefty cross-wind.

Ditto! What he said!!

I'm loving the HELL out of instructing!!

I'm glad you all liked the story....I'll be following up with another story from yesterday....in a new post!!

I'm having the time of my life! Sure, it's not a jet, and it's not a turboprop. However, the effect that you have on people (and the fact that sometimes you miss the mark altogether...that's another post too...) makes it all worth it!!
