An F-35 combat aircraft crashed at the Hill Air Force Base south of Ogden, Utah, Wednesday, according to a tweet from 388th Fighter Wing.

That touches close to home. I trained in Ogden and we flew through Hills airspace, the 35's were a constant sight and sound. And Craigslist house was inside final for rwy 32. I could see the PAPI from the backyard. Glad that the pilot was recovered safely and alive.

Actually, yes. There are non-combat certified ones flying used for testing.

I know, I just find the dramatic flair of the article's title funny.....as well as how much the USAF uses the term "combat coded"
