An Aviation First?

Just curious if any one knows, first hand, if this training sequence has been done before.

Student takes his first Solo flight then the very next flight the student does is their solo cross country.

Obviously the cross country flight was done prior to soloing with the instructor.

I'm thinking this might be a first.

Not uncommon I've seen it before. Usually happens with kids who parents own an airplane so they start training very young and have most the requirements done for the private before they are old enough to solo. So once they have their birthday they knock out solo and solo cross country right away and take checkride.

The moving up of dual cross countries to before first solo isn't that usual but it's certainly done. Reasons vary. In addition to age issues, there can be weather ones as well, like a long period in which winds are exceeding a CFI or flight schools solo limitations for student pilots.
