I wonder how many of these guys will accept recall? 10%?
That sounds about right. After being furloughed for 11 years, you would think one would move on with their life and eventually stop looking back.
When Pan Am recalled in 1987 they had about a 90% return rate from guys who had been furloughed for close to 20 years!
I remember talking to one pilot who was a Bank vice-president and he said he didn't even think twice about coming back...
Don't under-estimate the allure of this job...

True but look at the pay back in 1987. Much different job back then.

Agreed; however remember this, "Pay fluctuates but seniority is forever..."

I know at least one airline pilot that would disagree with this assessment.Agreed; however remember this, "Pay fluctuates but seniority is forever..."

Did all Eagle guys get a seniority # at AA? I somewhat recall something about Eagle giving new-hires last year a seniority # because they needed pilots. These recalls will include current Eagle pilots with AA numbers. I believe that we have approximately 120-150 pilots at Eagle with AA numbers.
There are 3 groups of Eagle pilots that can go over to AA. Only the first group about 200 have AA seniority numbers and will be recalled. The other two groups will be new hires at AA and go over at no fewer then a set amount depending if you are in the 2nd group (The 824) or the 3th group the rest of the pilots hired before the cut off date.Did all Eagle guys get a seniority # at AA?
