American Pilots Pointing Fingers at Management

One of the old USAirways WOs used to do this stuff all the time. If the canned flight plan for a route was 1 hour and that wouldn't be legal, they'd "refile" you direct (right through airspace you'd never ever get a direct through) to make the flight 55 minutes and legal. They'd also change the foretasted taxi time from the standard (10 minutes out and 5 minutes in) to 1 minute out and 1 minute in (which is impossible because you needed at least 2 minutes on the engines) to shave time off the flight.

Until the pilot union retracts this article accusing me of crafting unsafe flight plans, you can forget about me working with AA pilots to reduce fuel when there is weather and the flight is weight restricted.

@Flagship_dxer

Have you seen any of this type stuff from your side of the desk?

I'm out on leave so I'm not fully in the loop.

Lol wut?

Does it name you specifically? Denying this actually occurs? Someone reduced our taxi time in LA last week to make us just legal enough...the article is accurate.
