Hey all, I'm looking into AF's 14 day CFI program in ATL. Just curious if anyone here has had experience with them or heard anything about it? Any info, positive or negative is appreciated! Thanks!
I knew a couple of guys that went and they called it "American Liars", but I have also heard of sme people who have said positive things. None of them completed the course in the amount of time they were quoted, however.
I have heard it called "american liars" from some friends, but I don't know anybody who has actually gone to it.
Basically, you can not be taught enough information (zero-hero) in 14 days.
If you have to have all the information down before you go, why would you not just get all the informaiton down, spend 14 days flying from the right seat at your local FBO then schedule a ride with your FSDO.
There is a lot to be said for having a instructor who is experianced at preping a canidate for a particular rating.
I know a few CFIs who went through American Flyers course. They all said that is well done, and taught by very knowlegable professional CFIs. You really need to know your stuff before you show up, but they say that up front.
Their other programs OTOH, are way way, overpriced.
