American Airlines ALPA

Just wait until one of them refers to legs as sorties :p

No, I know. was being semi-tongue-in-cheek. I have seen military influence in training departments, manuals, and nomenclature at previous companies but I don't really see much evidence of that here.

Has anyone saidi Initial cadre yet?

Man. That's brutal. I don't remember anything that bad. The union needs to come up with a 117 calculator to show if a line is 117 compliant or not. Would give you a good heads up to double check your fatigue level.
I used to use the 117 calculator on the ALPA app. I still keep a table on my phone and I either get two reactions when I show guys who complain about the schedules the 117 table. Either it’s wow, or “we’ll never get that here”. The latter is probably right unfortunately.

I’m hopeful the EB will address the schedule issues. With 30yrs to go I got a huge dog in the fight and running to the whale or Z won’t change things.

That made me tired just reading it!

I would say that would probably become a Disputed Pairing here, but that would cause guys here to trip over their dead mother to pick it up.
Some things are universal. Guys picking up stuff like that then complaining about fatigue. I will say that trip was always in open time so even the “credit •” has their limits. Probably didn’t help that you went back out at 330am the next morning after getting in at 2-230pm.

Also the DC-9neo is being built in Mighty Zhongguo. They have correctly renamed it from “ARJ21” to the Comac “C909”

They call it the “Rising Phoenix” which I predict is no more popular than “Thunderbolt II” ever was.
At least it looks nice on the ramp
