Ambesol

Hey Doc....I was wondering if using Ambesol or something similar for minor tooth/ gum aches (erupting wisdom tooth) is approved for 121 ops?

The question I would have is "what is causing the tooth pain?" If you have an apical abcess and go to altitude then descend, you can get excruciating pain. If it is just sore gums, use ambesol. If it is more than that, you should see the dentist and get it fixed.

Ok, thanks for the info. The root of the problem (pun intended) is I have a wisdom tooth that is coming in.....thereby causing gum pain. I do have an appointment to have all my wisdom teeth removed....but it's not for some time. In the meantime, the one in particular really hurts....enter ambesol.

Would those be flight approved? But Mr. FAA....they're only 'soaked' in whiskey....I wasn't really drinking anything.
