All New United Airlines Fleet?

MSU Pilot

I saw this on a recent trip. It was taken with a cell phone so hopefully everyone can see it. Is United Airlines really getting a new fleet? Saving on fuel may be the way of the future.

I know of a guy that flew into TKI that has a C-310 painted in AA paint scheme. He was a retired AA pilot from a decade or so back. He was able to get permission from them to have his plane painted like that.

I'm sure it's a rather simliar issue here.

That was my first thought - the guy is either current or retired United.

Man, those plans for Avolar have really gone down the tubes. :laff:

I wonder if the guy got upset when UA changed their livery.

On the other hand, I bet the feels pretty smart about now for not rushing out to update his own paint.

Newest RJ type: RJ-1. Pissing off passengers one at a time!

So if the pay is by # of pax seats and equivalent to regional rates...then the captain makes about $1.20/hour and the FO makes about $0.70/hour?

Are they hiring?

It's not very shiney and it's not a jet...I wouldn't work for those wages unless I was logging SJS time!!!!!!

All it needs now is a bunch of mismatched parts. It actually looks nicer then the real thing.

I should buy a 172 and paint it in the US colors and scrape half the paint off so there's big paint chips missing. I'm going for realism here!

:rawk:

The airplane was in North Bend, OR (KOTH). Maybe they stopped flying the Brasillia into the airport to save money on all of those empty seats?
OTH always sells out, they added a 3rd flight because of it. Thing is they only book it to 24-26 because it can very rarely leave with more people than that due to the fuel load and all the heavy golf bags.

If I was a betting man I would guess to say that this would be a single pilot operation, therefore saving themselves $1.40 per flight. :insane:
