Airport parking costs

Fortunately this isn't really an issue for me at the moment because I am currently living in base... However it was announced that employee parking is going up to $76 A MONTH at SeaTac. I have never talked to anyone who had anywhere near as high parking costs.

Anybody know of any other airports with employee parking costs this high?

Considering what it costs to park as a customer at sea tac, it isn't really surprising. Any lots that are convenient to the light rail or shuttle lots that give an airline discount? I parked in the terminal for three weeks one time because I was running late for my flight. Good thing work was picking up that tab. I don't recall the total, but I know it was over $300.

I've heard LGA is crazy expensive. Not sure what JFK is since Pinnacle and jetBlue both picked up the tab for people I knew, and I never actively parked there. I did see someone swipe their card in he JFK paring lot on a $100+ parking fee.....which just got billed to Pinnacle or wiped clean in an airport deal between them and the Port Authority. Who knows?

MCO is $30-ish a month, but you HAVE to be based here. If you're a commuter, they boot you to one of the satellite lots or off property parking vendors. Honestly, it's a better service than the employee lot, and if you pay multiple months up front, it's cheaper.

piggybacking on that...does anyone know if you can park in the PHL employee lot? I got a quote from preflight parking for 90/month as a crew rate

anyone with any info for PHL would be much appreciated. I've been told $90/mo for preflight parking; Wallypark, the parking spot, and expresspark have all said they dont offer rates for commuting airline employees.

You have to have a sida badge to park at phl and it's free if you do. I know some guys from one of the reserve units at Mcguire were able to get a deal worked out where they could park there. Not sure how they went about it but its doable for mil guys.

Well at least some sort of a discount is available.... @grkero was told by the fascists at SMF that although Compass does serve the airport, they are "not a real airline" so no discounted parking for you!! He was also told that he could park in the economy lot at $10.00 a day or he could "get friends to give him rides". The irony is SkyWest and Horizon guys can park there as well as any mainline pilot or f/a. The ultimate irony is that the lot designated for employee parking is never more than half full.....

That sounds like a lawsuit in the making.

SAN is up there. $60-$65/mo depending on the lot.

Does anyone know about DFW parking as a commuter?

It was something like $150 for a quarter I believe. My wifes a DL FA and I think thats what we paid a couple months back. I also remember the lady saying they're going up next year.... joy.

That seems a little spendy.

Do you know if any of the off site places offer monthly parking?

Honolulu is $125 a month. Company pays for parking in the less desirable lots, but you've got to pony up if you want good parking.
