I saw Quantum of Solace and the flying scene was awesome! Does anyone know what the fighter plane was in the movie? Also how do you think the fighter ended up crashing.....apparently James Bond is a pilot and can read an enroute chart lol....:rawk:

I can't say I was a fan of the last two James Bond movies. Maybe it's just because I don't like the new actor. . .

That was such a cool movie.

You really think so? When I saw it, I was like, and this is what Bond villains have been reduced to? Instead of controlling all of the world's nukes, they're reduced to controlling 60 percent of Bolivia's water reserves and charging more for it?

What in the name of Ernst Stavro Blofeld is going on?

As for the airplane, one of them was owned by the CIA. You don't want to know what kind of airplane it was. You don't even want to remember seeing it. Or you may end up on it and never be heard from again.

I just don't like his character. The old Bonds were suave, sophisticated, and had a sense of humor. This guy may as well be the Terminator. He has no personality.

Sure, he blows stuff up, gets in gunfights, and kills the badguy. But he's so blah.

Really?

The same way the movie crashed: Horrible horrible writing.

Prag, surely you forgot the sarcasm tag?

I agree. Was not a good movie. It's like they only spent time on the action scenes (which were good) but they forgot to spend time on the story. I think Daniel Craig is superb as this "new" Bond and "Casino Royale" was fantastic but Quantum really bit it, unforunately.

The girl is from Russia, I think. She's on the cover of the latest issue of Maxim. Or that's what my wife tells me.

I liked it, but not as much as Casino Royale. It was far better than the Brosnan movies, especially the later ones.

I like the Brosnan films. It's the D-bag with the butt-chin that played Bond before him that was a waste of film. Daniel Craig isn't bad, but the writing for the character is pretty lame. He himself even admits there aren't enough Q gadgets and too much (as Tony points out) Terminator type action.

I loved both of the last Bond films. They were so much better than the cookie-cutter movies of the past. The last twenty years have been way too "cartoonish" for me. The only exceptions were The Living Daylights and Goldeneye.
