AirNet - "Right Now"

Oh lord... No one is more impressed by 135 freight pilot than other 135 freight pilots. Going from that to the regionals was such a huge QOL improvement.

How many people retire at companies like Airnet? That should tell you all you need to know.

Cute video though.

You get a pass because iirc you started freight when the net was well along in their downhill slide, but from everything I saw the old airnet was a classy place and there were a fair number of lifer Lear drivers who had it pretty good. @mikecweb went from there to amflight and can speak to the differences.

I won't waste my time but pre-bayside Airnet was the best job I ever had. If I still had my Lear captain slot out of Boston I'd still be there.

They had more than a few "lifers". Although most weren't voluntary, except for one and he was fired for scaring a copilot.

That's your opinion. The regionals are a definite step down in the badassery department, though.

It is totally badass to take a Lear into a thunderstorm, film it, and put it on an official company montage. :sarcasm:
Where does it say this is an official company montage? I'm pretty sure I know the guy that made it and it was his personal video...as far as the thunderstorm comment, see below.
It was from :57 to about 1:10.
Hahahaha. Lol. If that was "in" a thunderstorm, then you need to get more experience. I'm pretty sure almost every flight crew out there has had clouds lighting up around them before, especially if they've been around embedded thunderstorms. You pick your way through. It's how you get from point A to point B during storm season.

Listen, there's a lot of chest thumping that goes with former freight dawgs, but you scare yourself once, and you learn not to do that again. The guys in the video have a lot of Lear time. They were not flying through or in a thunderstorm.

How about all of you that didn't fly freight, just say nice video, or be quiet, and let us enjoy some quality videos of what was once a great job as it goes through it's shutdown. Deal?
