Airlines lose record numbers of baggage in '07

they end up at unclaimedbaggage.com Trust me, I have been there and seen it all. Great deals on luggage/clothes etc.

A lot of it has to do with passengers themselves too.

I've actually watched after unload a couple pick up 7 different bags off the belt thinking it was theres then putting it back 7 times. That's what name tags are for people! They made it difficult for 7 other customers to get there luggage in my opinion.

There must be brain suckers on top of every door at the terminal. Doesn't matter if we're checking in or deplaning as soon as people enter the building they get stupid.

And don't think for a second its gonna get any better. The new thing now is to hire ready reserve people making nada per hour and no benefits. You think they are gonna go the xtra mile to get your bags to where they need to go???? Dont bet on it. Oh and the 15 bucks is essentially a transport fee. Meaning your bag got to the city it was tagged for.....maybe 5 hours after you, but it got there so no refund for you!!

I've seen baggage get stuck every where! Tags get torn off fairly easily and when we can't find a name on or in the bag then we have it sit until a claim matches or someone can positively identify it.

I had a bag personally delivered to me by AA a long time ago. Don't know if they still do that.
