Airliner crash in Toronto

Buh doom, tss!

Come to the 10:30 show, it's completely different! Tip your waitstaff, try the veal!

When I saw this thread I was thinking, "Holy Cow!" another crash with so many posts all ready. I thought it was going to be a good one that I missed out on.

Wow. I got suckered. Read the whole thread before realizing how old it was.

But...

a spokesperson with the Greater Toronto Airports Authority said lightning was causing technical problems with the airport's lightning-detection system.

Does anyone find the above statement a little ironic?

Ok so from reading most of this I think I got it all...

So it was some Airbus w/ 200pax. It hit a micro-moose and hit the ground rather hard. Was the moose in and terrorist related factions possibly?:whatever:

Holy cow, that post is from so long ago, my employer was solvent then! ;)

August 2 is the anniversary of two high profile crashes caused by crew electing to press a landing with a severe thunderstorm on the runway or approach path.
We've already had one runway overrun this summer that was probably due to a crew landing in a TRW. So if this refreshed any memories, good.
