AirlineAPPS.com

Hi everyone, not that it is any affect to me yet but I am coming to realise that almost all airline pilot hiring is done through AirlineAPPS.com. I was looking at the sight, and that spurred some questions to me for those of who are going through the process or have been through it. How does the whole system work in your opinion? Has it been clear about what's going on? Is it easy? Did you get e membership? You can only apply to one Airline if you don't get a membership? And for those who got hired before AirlineAPPS started how did hiring work in those days?
Thanks as always...

On a side note, one of my croanies started the company!

I've been trying to pimp him to show up at NetworkJC next month.

WHo is on airlineapps.com now? A year ago it used to only be eagle and mesa, as far as regionals go. Some airlines have a place to apply on their own website. But most still take apps the "old fashion" way of fax, snail mail/fed ex, or email.

If you do choose to do the airlineapps.com be ready to be sitting for a while. I think it took me a couple hours to complete it. They want to know who your third grade teacher was, and the address of the first McDonalds you ate at. And for flight time you need to seperate it to, time in a/c, x/c, time in A/c in actual at nite during winter when you had even no of pax. But seriously its ridiculously detailed.

Doug, is he a Delta pilot who also does a lot of warbird flying and flies a F-16 for the DC guard? If so he was in my CFI class at ATP (he needed his CFI for something having to do with giving check flights in the B-17 I think.). Regardless this guy was a riot.

[/ QUOTE ] See thats what I thought but it seems every airline is on here. It to me is a little scary of a scenario so I was wondering how it all worked out..

No.

Oh well, this guy said he was involved in the website although I don't remember in what capacity.

One of the time builders at AriBen submitted his Airline Apps at 11pm one night, and had an interview with Colgan scheduled within 12 hours. I'm guessing it's a good system.
