I will be in Vero this Wednesday to do two free preview seminars, 11-12 and 1-2. These are meant to let the FSI populace understand what Airline Interview.com is all about.

Please attend if you are in the area.

Man, I'm going to have to invoice you for that, John! Sheesh!

I'm sorry Doug, I thought it was ok in the FSI forum.

By the way I am still interested in a banner, if you can keep your choking hands off my neck

I think it's based off the idea that I let you borrow a phillips head screwdriver last week, but it doesn't automatically give carte blanche to walk into my garage and borrow it six months later.

LOL good analogy.

OK I consider myself slapped on the wrist.

We need to talk $$$ though. The business is picking up and I would like to be more "active" on your forum.

In Tenney's defense it is a FREE interview session. He is not advertising for something that will costs students money...

I wish that were true, but the session itself is to promote paid interview seminars. Doug definitely got me on this one.

I STILL want a banner!

Why would I want to pay someone to teach me how to interview? This comes with practice and there are many people willing to help someone for free. Not to mention, there are quite a few internet sites that offer free tips and hints for good interviewing technique.

I dunno. Ask some of the other interiew companies - they charge outrageous amounts just for PHONE CALL PRACTICE!!!

I attended and paid for John's seminar when he came down to do the workshop for FSI instructors.
I thought it was great expierence. Interviewing really is a skill and something that most of us don't get to practice often. Obtaining a candid critque of your performance or essentially having a dress rehersal will only help your chances.

Sort of like the mock checkrides out at the flightline..:p

I suppose some people do it because they don't want to go out and blow a few interviews "just for practice."

What if your favorite airline calls you FIRST?

You take the job and go with who gives you the best opportunity at the time. It's very cliche, and I'll probably wreck it, but a bird in hand is worth two in the bush.

Besides, "favorite" airlines is a dynamic definition. At the time when I was looking to work at a regional, I really wanted to work for WestAir and be based in Fresno because that's where I'm from. Brasilias up and down the west coast, watching the sun set over the Pacific was what I was looking for.

A few years later, they were playing chicken with Mesa/Larry Risely and were folded, dumped on the street and replaced with Skywest by United.

In a lot of ways, picking an airline is a short-term science, but a long-term crapshoot/roll-of-the-dice. I betchya Flying magazine won't tell ya THAT!

Probably followed by a "Letter to the Editor" about "I'm a 86 hour private pilot and Les is overpaid. I fly a Cessna 172 using the same skills he does on the 767 and I pay $87/hr web hobbes..."

430am (CT). My we are up early today. I am still at work.

Gotta be at the airport by 7:08, but I'm going to get some brekkie from Pascals in the A concourse.

Ah yes that work thing. Well, may the wx be good, keep the pax happy (if they can ever be happy) and have a good set of flights. There is snow/rain forecasted here in MSP over the next 2 days and I have a long IR x-c scheduled. Yippee, Actual conditions....maybe....
