Airline economics

I thought this particular podcast was interesting... they talk about the recession and depression we have/are experiencing and suggests it may be 2 more years before we turn this around, but that the airlines are going to be profitable (by accident). If you fast forward to about half way through it you get to the good stuff. Discuss and enjoy.

I think he's right. The short answer on when the airlines will rebound is about a year after the economy does. Flying is a luxury.

Agreed. Travel world wide is down as well, so its going to take the global economy to turn around, not just the US.
