Aircraft Sounds, your favorite

What's your favorite sound from an plane..any plane? Kinda cheesy, but I'm just curious.

Mine= The sound of a 737-400's CFM Turbofans making that howling noise while slightly throttling up for taxiing.

It's either the "whoopf" of adding fuel to a hot pt-6 of the whine of a turbo at full boost.

A P-51 Mustang's Merlin engine purring away, preferably at low altitude and high speed but anytime it's running is sweet.

Agree on the radials, but I LOVE the sound of a Baron. It almost has a radial sort of sound to it. Pretty much any fighter in full afterburner, and any older turbojet spooling up.

I like the sound when the flight attendant says, "Coach is full... would you like to sit in first class?":D

To seriously answer the question... the sound of a B1 doing a flyby followed by max climb.

My favorite sound (largely from a safety perspective) is when the gear locks down, and then when the props go into reverse.:sitaware:

From a purely asthetic perspective, there is a secondary whine that happens as we pass 80 knots on takeoff that I think sounds particularly cool.:rawk:
